When are these sue-happy douchebag state attorney generals going to realize that if a stationary object, namely a gasoline filled automobile is struck by an object in motion to the tune of 55mph plus, namely another vehicle, there's most likely going to be an explosion, and yes anyone in the car is probably going to die? It's simple physics. I'd like to see these conditions replicated with other types of vehicles. I'll bet the same thing is going to happen. It's not Ford's fault if someone behind the wheel of a car is negligent enough to not notice a car's roof ablaze with strobe lights, and not think to stay clear of it. So to say "I hope Ford goes DOWN" is a very ignorant, poorly thought out statement.

I agree... state troopers put themselves into far more dangerous positions than other vehicles... when was the last time you parked on the shoulder of a busy interstate for 10 minutes while sitting in your car.... and then repeating 10 times throughout the day, then another day, then another? You don't. And when 99% of all state troopers drive crown vics...... simple statistics tells us that golly.... a lot of those horrific crashes involve crown vics!! and gee darn, aren't they bad ones. I'll bet if a trooper put his camaro there and a semi rammed it and then rolled right over top of it, noone would be suing Chevy to make the camaros taller (ignore for a minute that they don't make them any more) I hate America's lawsuit happy public mindset... its bad for business, its bad for international PR, its bad for the legal system, and its just generally bad.
