You guys know the rubber guard thing or whatever it is at the bottom of our windows on the outside, well my rear driver side one is coming off. I mean when im driving its fine, but i can easily pull it off if I wanted, and when I went through the car wash yesterday it almost flung all the way off.
SO what kind of adhesive should i use for this? Or if not adhesive, what do I do?

Slang - rubber thingy Ford tech talk - rear door glass belt line outside weatherstrip
It's press into place only, no adhesive involved, assuming of course that it hasn't been damaged.

I had one missing from my 97's rear door and got a new one for $11. Not too bad, considering that some boneyards have a $10 minimum.
I brought in a picture to the parts dept to show them what I needed. Helped to pin-point the part # a lot!

Mine does the same thing. It gets pulled up when I roll the rear windows up. I don't think they get damaged, they just get wore out where it fits into the track. I mean it still keeps water out of the door, but its too easy to pull it out. I'm thinking about putting a spot of something along the line of contact cement on the rubber where it goes into the track so it will hold. Its no biggie to push it back into the track, but I am afraid one day it wll fly off while I am driving down the road.

I've replaced all 4 of mine and that damn driver side window still won't stay in all of the way! I just keep pressing it down. It is annoying isn't it?

I used Goop. I put it in the slit that fits over the metal ridge. Don't get it on the windshield, or any paint that shows. You can get it pretty much anywhere. With that and JB Weld I bet I could fix anything!

I have the same problem and I just keep pushing them back down. I never go through a car wash so that's not a problem for me.

I have the same problem with both of my reaw windows. I just keep pushing them down. What is fun is when you realize one is about to come out when you are going 65 down the interstate.
