I'll agree it is a bit bland, but nowhere near ugly!

That body would have been a really good move for the Grand Prix. But to turn a muscle car into a...a...a...a WTF would you call that? Just another reason why Pontiac should have stopped after the Fiero. Yeah, GM blows. I'm surprised that they even offered it in manual. F**kin' losers. I do like the interior though. And like I said it really would've been a good look for a new Grand Prix. But the GTO has been ruined.

Looks: Bland...Like a larger version of the current Z24
Power: Who can hate the LS1? It is a great engine. It will probably make *slightly* more power than the F-body, considering all those LS1's were very underrated from the factory.
Performance: Will be underwhelming. With a Curb weight near 3800 lbs, it will not be that fast. Slower in fact than the decommissioned F-Body.
Cost: Expensive...$36K+ ? No thanks!

Everything I've seen shows 0-60 in 5.8-5.9
That's a few ticks quicker than it was in muscle car form.

Let's not forget the humble roots of the original Pontiac GTO. All it was was a Tempest with a big engine shoved in basically. When it came out people didn't find it's look very exciting. It looked like many other mid 60's cars. We look back on it now and think yeah it looked badass, but that is with hindsight. You can't compare what you see now with what you see in hindsight. Plus, i remember everyone here drolling like a mad dog over the Holden Manaro, I don't think they changed the design all that much. I have seen preproduction models and the Holden in person where I work, up for some testing, and they look pretty nice. Besides, if I'm gonna have a car that has some serious balls, I want one that will blend in a little, bring a little less undesireable attention from the boys in blue. If i wanted attention, I'd go a for an arrest me red vette or something.
