There is a little clip that goes in a slot on the handle and fits around the shaft much like a c-clip. Once you identify it, you can turn the crank so that the open of the cilp is facing up, and with 2 little screwdivers you can push the clip off. Or If you have a small pair of needle nose pliers or storks, you can pull the clip off by the looped end.
