You could do that, but I already am using this idea. Only with 4" tubing from the foglight holes to the engine bay and K&N filter. What is left out is some thing that actually increases vaccuum ability and spirals the air charge. Spiraled is more efficient and it sounds cool as well even when you are POTing it. On the highway with O/D off there is a high pitched scream like turbos and SCs are known to produce. These two mods are awesome in conjunction with each other. I know from experience. As far as a hood scoop you can install hood tie downs and pop the hood or fabricate a lift kit for little money compared to installing a hood scoop. battery relocation is essential so that air collects in that area instead.
