damn, volcano god, that sucks. needless to say i will be getting a 36K/36,000 mile warranty on my contour when i take posession of it *next week* on principle, but that **** with the dealer in question is just foul.

i work at Duncanville Ford here in texas, as a service technician. i understand how i want my cars worked on *and how i always work on them* and i have always treated other cars and my own the same. personally, i wouldn't shun Ford for this. i would find another dealer in your area. Did you know that a non-SVT dealer can still work on the car? Ford did get you an engine, did they not? As far as the getting the product for free *engine*, they upheld that part. smile BUT! i would have asked to speak to that woman's supervisor at CC. YOU know what happened. For her to treat you like a child who is lost is unnacceptable. For example:

I needed payment history for the last 2 years on my ranger to show my bank that payments had been made on time. Ford Credit informed my banker thursday afternoon that they would arrive friday morning. Guess what? they weren't there. SO... i called Ford personally on friday. "give us 20 minutes"... ok... an hour goes by and my banker hasnt heard from them. I call once more. "well, we were supposed to make two sets and we only made one, so it will be monday before we can get those mailed to you." i kindly explained that they were suppsoed to be faxed and that it was no real trouble to print them up and FAX them. i was then told that there is a day's delay with payment histories. i asked to speak to a supervisor immediately, as i was done talking to her.

the lady i talked to was very nice and cooperative. i told her that the loan needed processing today and that the forms were supposed to be there today. i got them 15 minutes later.

There is always someone else up the food chain. If you think you have a strong case *and i am sure you do*, talk with the person handling your issue again. If you get the same runaround, kindly, politely ask to talk this person's supervisor.

One thing I have always known at work as a waiter: don't ask me to do ****, because my manager has the code for discounts!!!

You could always ask the service manager to correct the problem at the dealer. when you show up to correct the problem, bring a digital camera. smile Let him see it but dont mention it. laugh
