thanks so much for your thoughts. i know many of you, and others i have never even met and i appreciate that you have taken the time to read this thread.
i'm on a plane in 2 hours. the update so far is that her system has been flushed of old medication and they have given her a new drug that has stabilized her blood pressure. she is now responding to physical stimulus, but still can't breathe. they are giving her until tomorrow afternoon to show marked improvement and at that time will detach her from the machine and see what happens.
