Just wanted to add my two cents here. I had lost an engine last year, from racing a Bimmer, which I beat

. Anyways. I get off the highway and hear this knocking noise. I know right away what it is and the potty mouth starts full bore!

The dealership has the car for two full weeks while they tear it down and have a tech from Detroit come out. All the tech does is take an oil sample and flys back to Detroit. A couple of days later I get the thumbs up that Ford will replace the bent exhaust valves! They also took care of 2/3 of the rental car bill. I do not care for my local Ford garages and felt very lucky at the time. I agree with a lot of the posts I have seen about the service departments. Hell, I was a credit analyst for Ford Credit for many years and still got treated like ****e. I mean, there were times when I would be at a dealership auditing their books and they were still jerks.
Oh-well...pent up fustration. Thanks for letting me vent.
