VERY sexy + not a common sight on the road = attention getter wetter.
Not strictly a performance car obviously, but a most respectable small sedan.
If you guys have a different opinion, feel free to keep it to yourself.
I'm not going to keep my opinion to myself LOL
My Mom has a 2.5 X-Type, and she likes my Dad's Infiniti G30 better. I know the 2.5 in the X-type is weak for the car and she should have got the 3.0, but it's the other things about the car she dislikes. She says the Infiniti rides much nicer, is roomier, etc.

I dig what you're sayin' Moe. But this kid is considering a Mustang & some other ricey performance cars, so I think image has more play here than a well rounded package. You offer up a good choice, I admit. I would probably be more likely to consider the infinity myself, but a Jag in the drive is just such a nice thought!!
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

I never refer to my "Contour" as that either - I always call it the "SVT." My 96 is the only thing I call a 'tour. My friends even distinguish the cars like that - especially if they see one on the road - it's either "there goes an ugly ass Contour" or "there goes an SVT"
lol - it's just how it is, I say the same thing.

One more thing. You mentioned the V-8 as being inefficient. I had three cars in my stable before I bought my Tour.
Mercury Grand Marquis with a 5.0 V-8 BMW 325e with a 2.7 I-6 Mazda RX-7 with a 1.3 Rotary
The Merc gets the best fuel milage of the bunch despite the fact it is way heavier than the other cars. I could still smoke the tires from a dead stop after 170,000 miles too. Yahoo!
The Mazda with the 1.3 got the worst fuel mileage, but man was it FUN! With some mods you can pump a bunch of ponies out of the engine, but why spend all that time/money when all you have to do is pick up a 5.0 HO engine/tranny from an old Lincoln Mk VII & drop it into the RX.
The BMW is a competent car, I still use it as my weekend beater fishin' car, or haulin' concrete or whatever.
The Mazda is gone, the Merc will be leaving in the next few weeks, & the BMW will likely be sold/given away this summer.
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

wow. that interior shot of the Mustang looks like CRAP! cheap plastic galore!
i took a closer look at the interior of a Viper RT10 today too. aside ffrom the seats, the rest of the interior was just cheap plastic. looks like they took it off a 1980's pickup truck. and corvettes are no better.
when are US car makers gonna start putting some quality in their products???

I don't see the S4 on that list. You can pick up a used one for 25-30K. Chipped it puts down 300HP and 350TQ AND it's a really nice car.. nuff said

Only difference between the Viper and Cobra's plastic and say the BMW, BMW makes their plastic look better.
Personally, having wooden accents in the Cobra would not make it look good at all. Same goes for the Viper. Having brushed aluminum accents is a different story. Ford does now offer a brushed aluminum kit for the Mustang as an accessory.
