Just purchased a recharge kit at Walmart. It came with R134a/oil/sealer combined in one can plus hose and T-valve.

You're probably still gonna need a can of R134a

purchased the same kit at walmart last nite...tried it today and it worked!!! nice cold air coming out the vents...waited and hr or so then went and drove my car around the block to verify the a/c...

it started making noise sorta like the p/s when it goes dry and a short while later i started smelling burning refridgerant

checked it out when i got home and there was a wee bit of smoke and what looks like leaking onto the pulley near the compressor

guess my a/c is cooked dammit

now you know where your hole in the hose is locate... if its just a hole then you come out better than a seal in a compressor going bad.. i have the Ford Service Cd and there is nothing in the cd that covers the compressor.. i used to change out the seals and parts in them, i guess now they dont expect you to go inside the compressors????????????
