Yes racing headers delete the cat. It makes the car really really loud. The gains are more in the mid RPM range where as the shorty headers have good low end torque. However the shorty headers will destroy your cat quick you need to run a high flow cat with the shorties. Or just put a bigger resontaor before the muffler on the race headers if you dont like loud.
