just to straighten out what I said and whore my car again, the sealing has to be done extra when you rip apart OEM headlights, like the guy up above said, but overall, I'm extremely happy with my lights, and I did get the dirt or whatever it was out of the headlight assembly by vaccuming and tapping it out. . . if Milan were to do it overagain, I think he would include a huge disclaimer, and probably use different projectors that take the H9 bulb so that one wouldn't have to invert the H7 to make it fit. . .

but those who threw money at someone to do it for them have no idea what the process is like.
Trust me, I had PLENTY of an idea as to how much work it was, thats why I not only paid to have them made, but drove over 300 miles to have the man himself install em' He didn't want any money for the install which tells you something about Milan, but I hooked him up some stuff to fully detail his car anyways The install went fine and I've been happy ever since

I am happy that this situation has finally started to come to true light.
What I did was to undertake and deliver one of the most complex and complicated projects that CEG had ever seen. It was done primarily to help fellow Contour owners.
What started as a ambitious project turned into something truly special. I am glad that I did it for CEG, and would not take a single thing back. However, it was simply too much for some of you to understand, as to how difficult of an operation I took on. I singlehandedly made over 30 pairs of these lights, in a mere 9 weeks time!!!. Me, myself and I. The guys on here who have done a set for themselves can attest to how difficult it is to make a single set.
What transpired with Pete is truly sad, and of course I wish that it never took place. Regretably, it did, and as a result I have alienated some people on here.
I thank those who have spoken in defense of my name, as I really did the best I could.
I am most probably going to resume production of these in spring of 2004, and of course THERE WILL BE A GIANT DISCLAIMER. Those who bought these lights can attest that I ALREADY DID HAVE a disclaimer shipped with the lights originally too.
I do not want this thread to continue about my lights. This thread was about my car. I find it sad that a few others out there refuse to give my car credit due to what happened to the lights... Most notably, Matt refused to include my car in the CEG Calendar even though the vast majority of you felt that my car was one of the best looking cars on here... Just shows you how far some people would go.
But the past is the past. I am back and on a different agenda, and these small squables don't interest me. Once again, thanks for your support.

I stayed out of this until now. I will not let my friends who come to my defense take the heat for standing up for me.
What is upsetting is that so many have accepted Milan back with open arms as if he never did anything.
Most of you do not understand that I am NOT THE ONLY ONE who is/was unhappy with the quality/worksmanship of the Milan lights. I will not disclose their names as they do not want to be dragged into this matter.
He lied to me.
He questioned my integrity.
If anyone would like to see what kind of PMs he sent me, I have every single one.
He ADMITS several times that he wronged me, yet refuses to do anything to rememdy the situation.
I am NOT, nor have I EVER, been angry with the leaking of the lights. That was never the issue I had with Milan about the lights.
It's the lack of worksmanship, the lack of quality for product paid, the lack of business ethics, the lack of a vendor backing their product.
Let me ask those that have done their own lights this question:
DO YOUR HEADLIGHT LOOK LIKE THIS???
See my sig for more pics.
I have since "sold" the headlights at a great loss.
If/when Milan decides to resume producing this product, I will be posting pics of my incident along with pictures.
It is only fair to those who buy them that they know the kind of work he has done in the past.

I bought the lights from Pete. Other then the water inside the lights are really nice.
Pete was still treated wrong about the matter and no one should ever forget that.

No they don't. I forgot about your headlights turning out that way. Out of 30 sets, is this the worst of the bunch? That sucks that a compromise couldn't be reached.

now wait just one minute you communist prick. i didnt not include your car in the calendar because i have some grudge to pick with you. i didnt include it because it didnt make the cut. not to mention you have the same bs ho-hum craptastic pictures of your car in front of your house as everyone else does... the calendar is almost completely compiled and i dont think there is 1 driveway shot in it. now if you want to get personal no, i dont like you, i dont like you for a lot of reasons. not the first of which is the pete situation, the spring zing 03 situation, or for the simple fact that i can disagree on politics with everyone in the world and still be friends with them except for you, lenin, hitler, and chirac.
so go buzz off
why the hell did my name get dragged into a thread about your lights anyhow?

You were saying...?
I love you too Matt.
There is no QUESTION that Pete's lights leak, or that they turned out less than optimal. THERE IS NO WAY IN GOD'S NAME THAT YOU WILL NOT CUT THROUGH THE SILVER WHEN CUTTING THE PLASTIC LENSES OFF!!!!!!!!! You need to understand this!!!!
The ONLY way that the front lenses will come off is to cut them off. I had to do this because Pete asked me to do it. Pete's lights were OK when he got them, but they had dust in them due to shipping. I insisted that he vacuum the dust out, but he persisted that he wanted them totally clean. So the only way was to cut them open. The rest is history.
I will post pics of my own lights, and then you can be the judge.
I offered 4 times for Pete to send the lights back, and he REFUSED each time. And then I am still the bad guy? What, am I suppose to drive to the East coast and beg him to let me fix them? Come on man!
I NEVER HAD THE CHANCE to even try to remedy the situation. Pete simply demanded that I refund money, after HE TRIED to fix the lights HIMSELF. EVERY TIME I asked him to send them back, he refused and asked for money back.
Still, what does all this have to do with this thread?

Wooh buddy... Wait, I'm stirring the pot now, and I don't feel like being banned for it. Anyway, an accident is an accident, personal levels not withstanding. It's not like ALL of Milan's lights collected water like a sewer hole. With a hand-made job like those lights, there is bound to be some errors. Common sense would tell those who bought the lights that this would be the case, whether or not there would be a disclaimer. Now in no way am I saying Milan's craftsmanship is great stuff to admire. Hell, I don't even have a Contour to install them on anymore. His lights LOOK excellent, but I've never seen any in person, so the quality is left up for debate to those who actually own the lights. I'm speaking strictly on the mind of those who think before they purchase things.
