My A/C only works with it is on full blast(the HI notch) but the first 3 nothces dont work at all.

Does anyone know what it is? My car only has 28k miles and the FL summer heat is killing me.

there is a recall on the switch it self (actually a resistor under the dash) getting burned, but if that was the case, your fan wouldn't even turn on. Maybe there is a leak in your line somwhere...or it may just need to be recharged.

The fan switch is probably half melted inside. When the fan doesn't make contact the A/C will not function. Keeps you from freezing up the evaporator. Mine melted 3 years ago. I changed the other just so it wouldn't happen to it. Costs 12 bucks and takes 15 minutes to swap. Most of the time is spent figuring out how to remove the plastic bezels without breaking them. wink
If the resistor pack (inside the vent duct) burned up you will nose it! laugh

Where is this switch located? I just tried replacing the cabin air filter and that wasnt the problem.
