Isn't life just fun... On the way home from work Thursday, having just gotten approval to go on vacation and thinking about how much fun the money saved up will make that possible, my transmision goes out. Granted my tour did have 147,000+ miles on it (2.0 ATX). There goes vacation. So I go car shopping on Friday.. found great deal... 2000 v6 5sp 6,959 w/ 29,000 miles daddy like.. arive at the dealer.. sorry it isn't here. DOH! Travel to Carmax and listen to the salesman trash talk contours and talk about how great the focus is...hmmm that lasted long... went to capital ford.. ins and outs... found v6 2.5 manual with 60,000 miles... hey sounds good price was stupid.. 6,900 yeah right.. talked down to 5,000 out the door. Bought an 800$ one year warranty (had to think hard on this one, that was stupid). Driving home..radiator hose blows engine overheats and starts making grinding mechanical noises.. Had the car for less than 1 hr and it already needed a tow back to ford. What a great weekend. If I keep the car I still have to switch out my BAT suspension <3000 miles on that.. my ICW 17inch wheels and my entire stereo sys with sub... I think it might have been easier to get tickets to the moon!
