Unfortunately, it does... My moosing seems to happen only in cold weather as stated above...stock airbox, drop in K&N BTW...IIRC it also happened before the K&N...

My E1 would hang, and then pull an additional 5-7K in revs. Very hard to deal with while driving in traffic.
The dealer fixed mine ages ago. They told me they resoldered some wires on the TB.

I have an ATX & installed the TH fix anyway. I find the revs to be much easier to control. The engine was alway wanting to RUN AWAY all the time. Nice eagar feeling, but kinda annoying when trying to do some performance driving 'cause I had to modulate the brakes more than I would like to. I also did not want to EVER get that moosing sound. I have 4 brothers that would never let me live it down. For less than a dollar - what the heck. Be sure to make the oriface hole just large enough for your application. I made mine just a bit smaller & my car started thowing a check engine light & 1507 code . Larger hole fixed it.
The TSS - DO IT !!! Its really freakin' easy & will make a huge difference in your ATX shifting. The BANG shift will go away & the pressures in your tranny will be much less stressful. You might also notice the tranny feels a little "loose", just kinda clunkin' a bit when shifting, accelerating, decelerating - the new TSS will reduce that effect dramatically. At least it did for me.
The last item to help you keep your 'Tour for many years - get a transmission cooler in ADDITION to the stock unit. Its not an immediate need, but a good idea with any auto transmission. The #1 killer of ATXs is heat. #2 killer is loss of fluid, so be sure to tighten everything up.
My $.02.
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.
