I found a loose orage part by firewall. It is aprox. 3/4" by 4" long and looks like a cover or plug to something. If anyone can help id where it goes please let me know. I am unfamiliar with engine compartment. I have only owned it for a month or so and decided to change oil after a few hundred miles. Don't know when last one was. It sure is tight compared to the Expedition.

In the assembly process of building a new car, a lot of things may get dropped and left behind. It soulds like a cap that may have been over a hose during shipping of the part before it was installed in the car and then dropped and left behind. Possibly an A/C hose. On an assembly line, there isn't time to retreve things like that, especially when it is something that really doesn't matter.

Think of it this way, your car is lighter now. The more parts that fall off, the lighter the car gets. As long as nothing that operates the engine, brakes or steering falls off you will be fine.

Oh, don't loose any tranny or axle bit either.

Pretty much everything else that falls off is simply a free performance mod
