OP tuner_girl New CEG\'er T Joined: May 2003 Posts: 43 Mexico	I'm haveng problems with high temperature, I took it to the shop for the following: 1- A/C stopped no air coming out 2- lots of noise the compressor was f...up 3- and high temp 4- changed coolant sensor (nothing happend) 5- thermostat not working, they took that off (is there a problem if it doesn't have it?) this just started 2 weeks ago, yesterday i got the car back and took it for a ride to see and feel it..everything good at first it used to go almost all the way to the red zone, and yestarday it almost did it again.. what could be the problem?? .. By taking off the thermostat you have no control if you car runs hot or cold..that is very bad...who ever did that is asking for a lawsuite if your car breaks down. You AC not working sounds like a problem many people have had...its a bad wireing harnest (or resistor...not quite sure) on the passanger side. There is a recal for it. I recomend putting a NEW Thermostat in......the coolant sensor should have no relation to you over heating.....but a bad water pump, or thermostat does...Do you have the V6 or 4 cyl....if its a V6 the water pumps on our cars suck...reconmend an aftermarket one form Auto Zone...it comes with a metal Impellaer insteatd of stupid ford plastic one. Roz 3.0 SVT hybrid...all the fixens...Track/Race ready very soon!!!!!! 20,000 + miles

MartySVT New CEG\'er M Joined: Aug 2002 Posts: 13	replace the water pump, contours are made with a water pump that has a plastic impellar (stupid if you ask me). the impellar chips and breaks away, leaving no flow. my car had the same overheating problem, i instantly changed the water pump to a Napa "METAL IMPELLAR" water pump. the car runs cooler than it ever has b4, oh definetly replace the thermostat with a new one!
