Just thought I would say this
Race my friend who is a good driver, 190hp 5sp mustang in my SVT, I win every time.
I raced some guy in a 190hp atx mustang in my bros se atx duratech quite a few times and I lost every time(but not by that much).
I haven't raced any camaros, tho I would assume if it's a V6 it would get owned and if it's a V8 I would get owned, just being realistic.
Of course this would all be on a track.
I live in Detroit, I couldn't give a **** how good my car is in the "twisties."

Just have to chime in here with some V8 mullet news...
The '86 T.A. I purchased cost $2,500 CAI cost $50 in parts Cam/gaskets/lifters cost $80 3.73 Gears cost less than $200 installed Programmer, adapter, and spare Eproms $180
These mods will have me in the 13's on a 305 TPI, let alone what a 350 car can do. Don't mis out on the Vortech supercharger kits for less than $1800, or a 400 HP small block built for a grand...

BS i have driven a 1995 Z28 and their is NO WAY IN HELL a tour (i dont care if it is an svt) could stay with it on the drag strip. i have seen lightnings get killed by Z28's.
how fast are z28s? lightnings i see at the strip run very fast. faster than what i think a z28 could run. and u know manually shifting an automatic does not make the car go faster, in fact it'll often have slower times.

I've never seen a lightning loose to a Z-28. Must have been some mods done to the Z-28's.

My grandmother has a 1991 4 door Civic LX with an ATX and a fart can exhaust at the end of a 1.5L. She'll kick your butts & you'll be suckin' her dust all the way down the 1/4 mile! And my brother can beat up your brother too! Man, this thread turned into a HP flame war in a hurry.
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

Buddy of mine has a V6 AT RS Camaro (91 IIRC), we were pretty neck-and-neck until 50, then I nosed ahead. I had only an intake at the time.
