i believe there were 2 versions of the 5.0Ls... i know a guy that dropped a 5L into a newer model stang, it is about even with a sentra se-r spec-v, so not all that fast, but the car had been in a wreck so insurance was paying for all his engine work and an awesome paint job. as far as i know, 01 stangs have molding (ding guards like us) on the doors and other model stangs don't,,, i could be wrong, but my friend's 01 has the ding guards.
