It's the truth. Stock 2001 v6 MTX is what it was. I drove it many times too and it was nowhere near as smooth as a CSVT and it didn't feel more powerfull. Tranny felt all-right but the car couldn't handle anywhere close to the CSVT either. Anyway, stock 2001 and it would hang very close through 3rd gear, I was winning by 100 (at the track of course) but it wasn't the azz whooping I hoped it would be.
I don't know how you could possibly be so much faster than my car was at that time. It was stock then, not modded but so was the mustang. The pre 2000 v6 stangs sucked really bad, I would destroy them all the time, but the later ones are greatly improved. I think those are the "pusstangs" you're talking about.
