sorry the 350 really isnt that sluggish. espicially 94+ the years that the 350 was shared between vette and camaro. The engine has a lot of potential and already comes with agood deal of horse so the 350 is no slug,however, on topic the v6 camaros are all dawgs and slow on the get go.
i think he meant the late 80's early 90's the iroc style...those even with the 350 are dogs....now the 93 to 98 lti's were pretty quick,and the 98+ ls1's are fast....

one of my friends has 96 v6 atx camaro, 1 has 00 v6 atx stang. the camaro is faster and feels more sporty, more fun to drive, though i hate not being able to see out the rear windshield. heck, my car can ALMOST hang with v6 atx stang. by end of summer i should be able to beat my friends' car with rolling start. though i seemed to be able to spin the tires easier in the stang than the camaro, but that's probably just a tire,wheel,transmission thing.

a '00 v6 stang has 200 hp.....a '96 v6 camaro has 200 hp....the stang is lighter than the camaro,so the stang should be faster than the camaro....how does a big a$$ boat feel more sporty?????the stang will also outhandle the camaro,so i don't really see the point in your post....and what exactly is ALMOST as fast.... your tour realy wouldn't qualify as ALMOST as fast as a car that would beat it any day....huh with your definition of ALMOIST as fast, pretty much any car is ALMOST as fast as any car... and i seriously doubt your car will beat a car that has alot more hp and torque from a roll...unless nitrous or turbo are in your summer plans....your whole post is

well i didn't think my friend's few mods to his camaro made that much of a difference but i guess they did,,, anyways, by almost as fast, i have higher top speed due to no limiter and stang being set to 115. my car can stay withing a car length or 2 with my friend's 00 stang, my other friend's 01 pulls a little harder than that though. i have just a few more modifications to do=more weight reduction, optimized TB, UDP, exhaust, new intake filter, and maintenance work to gain back lost horsepower. I know it's enough to pull or at the least stay even with the 00 stang if we're both already rolling. whether you believe it or not, doesn't matter but u'r welcomed to come visit this summer.

Maybe it was a driver's race, but I own3d a 91 3.1L RS ATX (Brand new motor, by the way) with my 2000 zetec ATX by at least 1/2 a car length in a quarter mi.
On the other hand, he did get a little wheelspin, so who knows.

C'mon now for real! '99+ V6 Stang has 190hp. Not 200. '98+ Camaro or Firebird V6 have 200hp/225tq. So how in the hell could they possibly loose to someone with a Zetec???! Please explain. I don't care how heavy they are, they still have some power. My friend with me in his '95-'96 Prelude VTEC (190hp) raced my friend's 2000 Camaro V6 ATX and beat him, we were constantly pulling on him but we didn't kill him by any means, and his car was an auto. Manual V6 Camaro would I think beat me in my Duratec 5-speed, but I was asking whass up with 99+ SVT. I never had a chance to drive one. Also don't even talk about V8 F-bodies, especially after 96 model year. LT-1 and LS-1 got some serious balls.

I doubt that you could keep up with the new Stang, especially if its manual. Your Zetec makes 121hp, the Stang got 190hp @ the crank....at least 40hp more at the wheels.....and I didn't even mention the tq difference....hmmmmmm

as i said, my friend's stang is ATX, and as I said, at the end of this summer you can come on down here and watch. When we're just riding around my mustang owning friends, which I only have 3 or 4 of, say they're suprised how close my car hangs to their's. If mine was MTX I'd probably be even with them right now. Come on down if you don't believe it.
