They're slugs too...those suckers weigh a $hitload! From what I've heard, even the 350's couldn't get out of their own ways...back in the late 80's-early 90's generation anyway.

my ATX beat an older RS V6 and depending on which is which, the 3.4L V6 Camaro is slow as hell running 18s, and the 3.8 isn't that much better depending, yet my friend has his 3.8L v6 ATX running low 15s maybe a high 14, with a few mods, and low 13's on 75 shot. so watch out...

uhh is mid 9 sec. a fast time? i don't understand? did i post something wrong? he has a 96 v6 camaro with those mods, and also MAF screen removed. he was running high 9sec with programmer not set great and on a pretty warm day, i saw him run these times. and he said he's ran mid 9 sec. this is 1/8th mile not 1/4 mile.

When I tool my bro, blackie to get his mtx zetec in my 91 3.1 auto camaro we ran on the way back, and we were dead even. Althought in the camaro I had a hypertech chip, a coldair/k&n, and a lower thermo, and the zetec was stock. In my 96 mtx 2.0 I took a 3.4 stick camaro easily, and a later model auto 3.8, rememeber those are 200 hp, so don't mess with a manual one

sorry the 350 really isnt that sluggish. espicially 94+ the years that the 350 was shared between vette and camaro. The engine has a lot of potential and already comes with agood deal of horse so the 350 is no slug, however, on topic the v6 camaros are all dawgs and slow on the get go.
Currently driving: stock 98 lx civic

A girl who's a friend of mine has a 2000 MTX v6 'stang and It was about even with my SVT stock. I had the edge at the top of 3rd and into 4t gear, but that was probably wind resistance deciding it. That car wasn't slow, and there are many with nitrous. The 3.8 camaro is pretty comparable.

I'll be losing to a friend's stock '00 V6 Camaro soon (MTX). For some reason he thinks my Zetec will give him a decent run He's convinced he'll trounce me off the line (I agree) but thinks I'll start reeling him back in once I get outta 1st. I'd like to agree with him, but I've driven his car and really don't see it happening.
