A quick question for the intake/engine gurus...CustomCougars.com and CTA has an AEM intake for the V6 Cougar. Will this intake fit our CSVTs (1998 return-style)? I see no reason why it should not as it is made for the duratec V6. Any info/knowledge would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance....

i don't think it will, cause i think the SVT has an extra hole on the intake tube for another sensor.

i dont think you can just drill a hole for the sensor on the aem intake ..i fyou have seen actual pics of it the mid-pipe part is very short leaving only enough room for those exsisting holes/tubes that are allready there. while the maf adapter is (wierd IMO) the part where the filter fits over extends a good 4 inches more then regular ones. http://www.customcougars.com/performance/AEMIntake.htm

Hey Great One, I thought the courgars ahd a more restrictive throttle body than SVT's? Wouldn't this intake system really only be benifcial to Non-Svt Vehicals? I tried to find info on AEM's web site but could not.

aren't most other intakes that fit on the cougar workable on svts? the svt tb is bigger but i believe it's the inside that wider and not the outside.
most who have upgraded to the svt tb still use the same intake they had before with the smaller tb.

Retract...sorry i was thingking about the MAF Adapter.....not the intake pipe....the MAF adapter you might run into problems with.....I know quite a few people have....For SVT, the MAF adapter has been smaller in some cases causeing restrictive airflow...sorry...I confused my self.
