You want the ZX3 Focus zetec for modding.
Hot rodding parts are available locally and there are more tuners playing with this engine than the pre97 contour hydro valvetrain zetec with no aftermarket support in the US and the English stuff is very expensive.
There is a midget series nationally that uses modded Focus "stockblocks" with power above 240.

I'm currently using a pre 97 hydro zetec in my se7en and imported some Kent cams from Burtonpower in the UK. Now i'm investigating the possibility of switching the cylinderhead for that of the Focus due prices and parts availability.
