I wouldn't bother with the Ford parts. The NAPA pump is a good piece. The pump I just replaced was the white plastic and I didn't see any cracks. From reading the posts I understand the white plastic impeller is the new, more durable one.
I believe the metal impeller is the way to go.
There is also an electric water pump available from BAT, I may go with that for the SVT. Anybody have any details on the electric?
