Connection probs....I took it out (stupidly) and ever since there has been probs.

Yeah, I don't think so. EEPROMs typically don't just "forget" what they're supposed to remember. Either it was damaged or it's the connection.

But that's an entirely different issue. I just want to make sure someone doesn't read this and think they need to reflash their chip every couple of years simply because of age.
