Used to drive an '86 Lynx wagon, four-speed. 296k miles on her. I used to beat up on that car. Burnouts burnouts burnouts. I also outran my friend, who was driving a '96 Caddy Eldorado w/ Northstar. His Caddy was limited to 115mph, and so with the Lynx absolutely floored I pulled away by like 1/4 mile! I sh!t you guys not it was the funniest thing, he was SO embarrased! I have no idea how fast I was going. Speedo went to 90mph I think. Needle was almost at 6:00. Great ol' rustbucket.
Of course it took me a good minute to get up to that speed. But once she got there the Lynx was all business.
