Make sure you have the proper wrench to remove/replace the hose before starting the job. I had one car that needed an 18mm line wrench to remove the nut from the power rack. Not easy to locate because most sets of line wrenches don't go that big. Line wrenches wouldn't tear up the compression fittings because they wrap around the head a little more that the normal ones.
