I have recently been experiancing a problem with my '95 SE/2.5/MTX. After start up in morning (doesn't seem to be temp dependent), the car has no power! Almost wants to die on me. I can let it warm up and usually do but this doesn't help. It will idle fine, but pull out and no power. The car just doesn't seem to rev. correctly. I am not sure if it is not getting fuel or air. I can floor it with no real effect until it opens the secondaries, then there is a huge surge in power. One day I was pissed about the way it was running and wanted to see what would happen so I floored it and slowly the RPMs climbed until the secondaries kicked in and the change between before the secondaries and after was enough to "bark" the tires. The car will act this way through first and second, and will not change until after I have gotten on a main road and made it into 3rd. Then it seems fine. Runs normal.
I am not sure that it is realated but for a while I had an odd "stail" spot when eccelerating moderatly in second gear when leaving work. This was going on for a while. Pull out onto the main street trying to beat traffic accelerate fine until shift into 2nd and then flat for a second and then off she would go, and no prob. after that. This is what she used to do before the new problem.
I am thinking IAC, fuel pressure regulater or pump. I am going to go ahead and change the fuel filter this weekend and see if this helps, but I am thinking it has to be something else.
