another thing to try, buy some electronic cleaner that leaves NO residue and spray the inside of MAF (don't take it apart, just spray through the hole) and spray the IAT.

ye, but it's not about how good or knowledgable a mech is, it's about whether the person is gonna sweat on a car that's not his in the same way we would on ours...

Yeah I agree. But no one is going to sweat over your car more than you would. The key is to find someone that is going to fix it without overcharging and/or telling you something is broken when it really isn't.

I don't really like paying someone just to look at my car.
i'm about 98.5% positive its because the intake sensor isn't spliced together right.
the engine light was off for a day and a half after I spliced in the new one but then it came back on...although the car is runnin better than it was before. better splicing of the wires and I should be on my way...
