How many miles of normal driving can you expect from these stock SVT tires?

I have gotten 25kmi on two sets of 215/50r16s but they were showing bands (not wear bands) when I was done with them. I am at 15kmi on 205/55r16 and I think these will be much closer to 20kmi life.

Unfortunately these tires are really bad in their last 5-10kmi. Unbalancable vibration, uneven wear, etc. However the performance of the 215s in their first 10kmi was better than any other street tires I have ever driven.

I am not very happy with the 205s, 10mm is quite a difference.

I got 37K mi. out of mine. Starting at about 20K, they started to hum. The noise got louder, and then they started to go out of balance (got them rebalanced, with no effect). By the time I had them changed, they were super-loud, and I was concerned that at least one of them had some sort of internal tread separation or something. Not something I'd buy again.

I'm on my 2nd set now. First set was replaced at about 17K miles and current set is on its way out at 18K. Inside edges are wearing the most, but the center tread is starting to wear as well. And yes, both sets were (are) noisy and unbalanced in their final days.

I got about 30k mi on my OEM KDW.

Never had a balance problem - they were always perfect in that regard.

However, the noise was terrible, and the wet traction started to suck when I had less than 3/16 left.

When new, however, they were awesome. Maybe a little loud, but grip was astounding, something I cannot say about my AVS ES100s.

I have gotten about 35K miles from the KDW's that are on my car now. Never had any problems with them being unbalanced/excessively loud.

I run KDW's on the back of my SVT and VR4's on front. Both have good tread. The KDW's are very loud and from what I understand don't wear all that well. I am, however, very pleased with the BFG VR4's. They are quiet and, so far, have given me very good traction in dry and wet conditions. As far as how long they both last, we'll have to see.

My first set lasted about 27-28k miles. (some tread left, but not much)

However I was very rough on them for the first 5k miles and the last 5k miles.

I figure ~35k would be an average lifespan. A fair bit more if you don't autocross (My first set saw at least 5 autocrosses)

My new set still looks new after 5k (For ref - my original set did not - oops )

I am just about to replace my front 2 225/50/16 KDW-G Forces.
after over 41,000 miles. I think I rotated them once.

Both edges have worn down, with the inside edges starting to show the steel belts this week. The center tread area probably has another 5K left or more.

Given that I drive the car 'silly' 25-30k miles a year I don't baby them by any stretch {93,000 miles}. The wheels being out of alignment is my guess on why the excessive inside wear. The camber is likely way off the specs. I'll keep you posted. I probably have 10-15K of life left on the rear tires.

I have had two bad experiences with tire changes on this car.
The first time they lifted the car up on the rocker panels and popped out the side moldings. The second time they used a hand floor jack to avoid the first problem and jacked up a rear control arm and bent it like a pretzel. So a word of warning always watch out when the car goes on a lift.
