It's more chip resistant than the factory paint. Which by the way is cracking all to s&#$ !! Typical...
(the heat curing process is letting it sit on a heat vent in your house after the paint is tack free. My girlfriend almost killed my over the smell in the house...)
I just repainted my wiper arms last week. I bought some expensive "Automotive Paint" at Canadian Tire. The damn stuff cracked up anywhere I hadn't sanded the arms right down to bare metal. Grrrrrrrrr. So after re-sanding them down I switched to some bargain brand flat black they had in the paint section and it worked perfect.
Should I be sanding down ALL the chrome off the grill? And do I lay down a primer coat or just go with the gloss black only.
Lardy.

Sand as much of the chrome off as you can. Mine was peeling (as they do) so it was easy. I didn't prime at all, just a few coats of paint and sanded in between each coat.

The lights on the front are CLA's new twin beam. They run a fog and a driving light. They have a solid painted aluminum body with heat sinks on them. Come complete with wiring harness including switch pod, inline fuses and relays. The side lights are Eurolite oval blue side lights with amber bulbs to be legal. (blue lenses)
