I'm going to give the clutch another week of around town driving. If it's going to hold, it will hold by then. If not, it's coming out for something different.

Yeah I'm sure that clutch needed more break in time, I had to put 1000 miles on mine before the dyno run.

He should be able to blow away my numbers with all the extra work that went into it versus mine. I'm guessing 320-330 FWHP with around 250-265FWTQ

Awesome! I'm just so glad to hear you didn't pop anything big, you know like LAST time!

Looking good and my fingers are crossed for you.

I couldn't have watched the dyno if I was Rick. "Guys let me know when it blows. I'll be in the other room." Great to hear every went well beside the clutch.

Todd, funny you should mention that. I wasn't looking too well while they were strapping her on the dyno. You shoulda seen my face the first time the clutch let go and she bounced off the rev limiter about 4 times before they could let off! After that I didn't feel too bad, but it was very tough and nerve racking to say the least watching her get strapped on again.

Well, let's see if anyone else is having as bad a day I am...

There's something totally screwed with the DV tape I used to shoot the dyno pull, so I've no clue as to how much (if any) of it is salvageable. Sound breaks up like mad, I get grey blocks running through the video, etc. I'm taking it to a vid shop this weekend to see if I can't get the tape copied to another one or if someone can do some "magic" on it.

That's not the bad news. The bad news is that just before the dyno video I shot, that same tape contains over 45 minutes of a wedding video for a VERY close friend. I spent just under an hour setting up the lighting, positioning and sound for this thing, so it wasn't like I was doing a handycam shoot. It was high-quality stuff and it looks like it's lost along with the dyno pull...

I know it's the [censored] tape as I've tested a few other tapes out and they view just fine.

I'm about sick, as I was the only one shooting video there and this was going to be a wedding gift for them.

In short, it looks like I'll have the Contour folks and some good friends ready to hang me up by my sac...

Here's to hoping I can get this damn tape fixed.

Rick,

I'll mail out the pics to you, for what they are worth. I've seen them and they did come out decent.

James, don't worry about the tape, I think the guy from the mustang club might have been shooting it as well. I'm not sure if maybe Eric L shot a few pieces of it too. I'm sorry to hear about your friends wedding tape though, that's the part that sucks. See if you can get the wedding part done, but don't worry about mine. I'll be getting another dyno vid of it anyways in Michigan.

JaTo maybe Ricks car is cursed like Christine. She didn't want you shooting video of her. Always have a 2nd camera shooting along side the main camera for future wedings. I know how you must feel about it. You about want to puke.

...either that or I should have tested the tape beforehand.

I really DO know better, but it seems I was wearing my dumba$$ cap on both days and didn't bother to check the media. Having said that though, that's the LAST Sony miniDV tape I'm buying. Up until that wedding I used nothing but Panasonic and I'm batting .1000 with them. First Sony I buy because of a sale and see what happens?

I'll see what magic this video store can work on it. :crosses fingers:

I'll cease to hijack the thread now.
