I forgot to add that I think Rick's motor will hold up fine because at 4800rpms, the clutch gave out and the motor ended up tapping the rev-limiter under no load. They did five pulls with the same outcome. As most gearheads know, revving an engine to redline under no load is very hard on the motor. Seeing that his motor did fine, I think it will definately hold up to running under full load.
One of the other Maxima guys that was with me (another Dave, big guy) kept saying Rick's car was going lean. I'd have to disagree because Rick's car only went lean when the clutch slipped. This is pretty normal because the motor was under load from 2000-4800rpms therefore the ECU could adjust at a quick enough pace. Then when the clutch slipped the motor pretty much went from 4800rpms to 7000rpms in about 1 second. No ECU can adjust fuel ratios that quick therefore his motor would go a bit lean. I don't Rick has much to worry about.
Even me, a guy from the Darkside, was hopping the best for that beastly CSVT.
BTW who's the taller guy that hangs out with Robbie? I forgot to catch his name.
