he went 140 with a tach that only goes to 130.00 and he has a zetec, that is governed at less then a v6 which is at 112/113. hmm not buying it.

um actually in defense to hector...he has svt guages in his car,that go to 160 on the SPEEDOMETER not TACH as you mentioned above(since tachs measure rpm's and not actual vehicle speed....  )
and he also has a chip which means his car is not governed any more....so his claims are actually possible...
maybe some of you should get your facts straight before trying to bash someone.. ...if you don't know what mods his car has maybe you shouldn't speak on the subject....

Lucky me has a v6 atx and a superchip code kca4 and it still has stock govenor...i know the chip is installed right because shift points and the power all changed...but govenor stayed at 112mph

ok,you obviously need to spend a little more time reading......I HAVE PERSONALLY SEEN hectors gauges with my own eyes....so don't call me dumb,when I KNOW what i'm talking about....you are the one with no clue....all you say is bs this and bs that,when you don't know jack about what you are talking about....personally i don't think anyone cares what you think is bs or not when you don't know....
he was simply stating what his car has done top speed wise...he shouldn't have to point out that he has a chip,when anyone with any common sense knows that the car is governed stock,and it would have to have a chip to go above 112 mph....it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that he has a chip or something to bypass the governor if he says he's gone that fast...pretty simple....
and he also said that his speedometer was a little off from 120 to 130 mph...so again it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that the stock zetec guages don't go that high....huh you think maybe he just could have possibly put different guages in??????no he must have just imagined his SPEEDO went that high.... 
and lastly...oh i guess i'm supposed to read your mind,and know that you just put your friends TACH in so that's why you reffered to the SPEEDO as a TACH huh?????yeah boy that really makes me look dumb.... ....um ok....if you say so.....so i'm supposed to assume something,but god forbid you think that maybe just maybe someone might have changed their guages,or got a chip....its really annoying when someone like yourself has to cry bs to something they know absolutely nothing about....

If some people wanted to know the real story they would ask instead of bash. If you look at my pics you see the SVT gauges and every Contour except the SVT is governed so obviously I have a chip. If you still don't believe me come over and take a ride in my car.

At the point of his post, I had no clue he had "SVT Guages" Nore did I see or could tell he had a Chip. I hear stupid people saying they went such and such speed with stock everything. Obvoiusly I see that he isn't one of them. But to save yourself the time. Explain it so people don't say anything. If I am correct, I wasn't the only one who thought it was BS!

I have heard some crazy stories, this seemed to be one of them, and like I said before he should have posted so he didn't look dumb saying it. Whats sad is I got you all rilled up, thats whats sad. BTW I checked out your picture very nice interior. Very impressed. If you ever want some guages that fit the SVT pod, but don't say SVT, PM me, I do custom guages. But hey, you probably don't want to do business with me but thats cool. You just look dumb having SVT printed on your guages when you have a 4 banger.
