Actually, I was told by my local dealer, and Ford Service when I called the 1-800 number, that if only if the part is broken will they change it. Unless it is a safety recall. I had my heater resistor-M06- (I think this is the correct spelling) changed, but the blower switch-M07- on the actual panel was still working, so the dealer refused to change it out. If it is the actual resistor that is out, you may have a problem getting them to change it as the recall is something like 76K or 6 years. Mine was 77K and seven years old, so I had to pay for a new resistor part. The heater blower switch is still current up to 10 years or 100K I believe. Check out AllData.com, they have the list of current and expired(as in you pay for it yourself) recalls.
