I have a '98 Contour SE Sport ATX. It does not have keyless entry / power trunk release.

I want to add an alarm or at least keyless entry unit that will let me lock / unlock the doors, roll up the windows (optional), and pop the trunk via remote. I'm probably best off to do an alarm to get the funtionality I'm looking for. If I go that route I may even do the remote start.

My questions are - #1 was the power trunk release an available option on these cars? I'm assuming it was. If this is the case, how big of a deal is it to convert the manual release to power release? If I got the OEM part, can I retain the cable pull? Are there other options such as an add-on solenoid that'll tug the cable?
