Any change in the car's ride height will affect your handling, because the suspension will be at a different point in it's range of motion. You may not notice a difference once it settles, but it might be enough to cause excessive tire wear if not rechecked. I haven't heard of mechanics offering to do this, but it does sound like a good idea.

I love mine. See my other posts about it so I'm not too redundant. I cut the rubber off the springs by the way. Also, I got the camber kit installed at the same time and then went to my first alignment. All is well. Very happy. Not very low at all. Will post pics of different settle phases (is any). I took before, after and during pics and will take more when settling occurs. I really recommend the pics to anybody who:
-doesn't want extremely low
-doesn't want extremely $$$
-doesn't want extremely rough
-drives alot in bad traffic with road debris and heavy snow/ice regions.

Good luck.

There's a guy here ranting about how poorly it worked on his 95, but I've ridden in a '00 with the BAT and its a GREAT street performance product. The only other person who I've heard say anything negative was SVTSETH, who races his car regularly @ track events, autox, HPDE's & stuff. He says the struts didn't last 4 months.

FWIW an alternative to those waiting for the springs + struts to come off backorder is to substitute Eibach springs. Very slightly more drop (maybe 0.2"), and not much stiffer ride.

I wonder if maybe they substituted those on mine without me knowing it...I remember them asking me about it, and i said it was no hurry, but I'm still surprised at how low my front sits.
