Mine has been blowing cool air, I have to always keep it on high to keep cool. Is this normal? I know my dad's explorer is blowing so cold air that I have to turn the blower down to keep from freezing.
My mom just had her Mistique's A/C "fixed" (it was blowing hot air) and it's blowing cool air like mine, just wanted to find out if this is common or what, and usually what is the problem, and hopefully the Extra Care warranty will cover it. Oh yeah they're both 99's

My 96 SE's A/C has never felt cold although the temp. out the center duct was 40 degrees. My mothers 95 Taraus "FEELS" alot colder even though the temparture measured with the same digital temp. gauge reads 38 degrees. My accumulator just blew a hole in it so I'll see how it is when I replace it along with the manifold/tube assy. and get it recharged.

Weird mine does the same thing, i have to keep it on high in order to get any cool air at all, when its on the med and low setting, nothing even comes out

My 95 is absolutely frigid- think meat locker cold....

Same here w/ my 97. I have to sometimes actually turn up the heat a little it will get that cold, even w/ the blower on low!!

My '97 is also like a meat locker. I can't run it on the 2 highest positions without freezing. I guess it's a nice problem considering I'll be moving to Nevada later this year!

Mine is cold, ride in the car for about ten mins and your turning it down!

my ac is great on hot days but on days over 90 or so i need to drive for maybe 15-20 mins it seems to get the cabin comfortable

i hate ac so i never use it long enough to need to turn it down but i plan on getting it charged one of these decades...i usually use it here and there just to make sure it still operates...and it makes a horrible clunking sound when engaging when i first start the car

my moms 2k taurus ac has gone kaput for the second time in a little over 2 yrs ...p.o.s :rolleyes:

My '98 has never felt really cold. I have to run it on max to get the cabin cool.

So is mine....but I have a 2000; if that makes a difference.
