I have a 2000 SVT Contour.. The clutch has to be bad in it and my wife wants to drive it and can't drive a stick.

I would like to convert it to an Automatic Trans.. which transmissions could I use to swap in for it if any?

I would like a strong one, and maybe one I could modify for a bit more torque on the shifts.. dunno.. just pulling for IDEAS! :D

It is cheaper to teach your wife to deal with a manual transmission.

Clarify "the clutch has to be bad in it" .....

Personally, I'd convert my wife before my car. Thats just me though.

Cheaper to go buy a car with an automatic.

Get her to learn! I told my girlfriend to learn on a stick when she bought her first car, and she loves it because she has way more control over the car.
