My oil pan gasket saga.

Someone else's oil pan gasket saga.

No need to lift the motor, drop the subframe, whatever. Take off the y-pipe (watch those rusty bolts!) and all of the oil pan bolts except one are easily accessed. For the tough one, remove the front passenger wheel and the splash guard. That last bolt is easily accessed with a box end wrench. Be neat about cleaning, dab on some of that black RTV where the front cover meets the block on the oil pan gasket surface, pop in a new gasket, torque those oil pan bolts to spec (30 ft-lb for the oil pan to transaxle bolts, 18.5 ft-lb for the oil pan to block bolts), pop the y-pipe in, and you're off - hopefully leak free. This isn't every minute detail, but you get the gist. Good luck!
