chrome + heat = cracks in the chrome...at least thats what i am told...that would not be good, and i know my zetec runs wayy to hot to even try it, after driving home from work, i cant even touch the valve cover for at least 3 hours of cool down time...burns the callouses right off my guitar playin fingers...

you can chrome it so it won't crack there is high temp chrome avaliable

Then why do you see many aftermarket V8 valve covers chrome?
