i park my car right outside my bedroom window (apartment complex) and when i woke up and opened the blinds sunday i noticed a leaf or some paper on the hood of my car....didn't think much of it as it had been really windy the nite before....

me and girlfriend leave home for a few hrs in her car and when we get back i go to my car to get something and eek eek mad NICE WAD OF WRIGLEY'S on the hood....

my instinct told me dont touch it...so naturally i grabbed it with my fingers and got gum everywhere...in strings on my hood, the bldg wall where i wiped it off my hand....and my shirt...
as forrest says, 'im not a smart man...'

anyway dammit is there a product anyone knows of thats good at removing gum (with a minimum of paint damage)?

and then mayo to get the peanut butter off right laugh

my almost pop-inlaw also suggested ice cubes so i'll go that route first

actually quite a bit of it came off on my thump just a few mins ago but then it started getting too hot to remove any more (car unfortunately sits in the sun all day) so it shouldn't be too hard to get the rest off with ice after it cools down a little outside

thanks guys
