Give 800-fordsvt a call.

2. I really don't know anything about engines or vehicles for that matter, but I'd like to know why it's kind of sluggish on the start, but at about 3.5K rpm it takes off like a bat out of hell.
The V6 duratec's have primary and secondary runners. The reason it feels like its getting faster at 3500 rpm's is because the secondary butterflies are opening. While they are closed, it gives more low end tq which is why it may feel sluggish down low.

3. Is there any way I can add more power to it? Perhaps a supercharger or turbo?
Theres plenty of bolt on mods to do. Vortech makes a supercharger kit for about $3100-3500 depending on who sells it (not sure if anybody still does to tell ya the truth...vortech had a few problems with the jackshaft and oil leaks), Street Flight makes a turbocharger kit for $5000.

4. If I want to take off fast, and perhaps spin my wheels, what's the best way to go about it? I've tried high reving before I start, and it usually gets me going fast, but for some reason I can't spin my wheels. I can however make them churp like a bird going into second.
First of all, before you even think about doing burnouts, get a QUAIFE limited slip differential. Youll be kicking yourself later on when you grenade your stock diff, as its known to be pretty weak.

5. Had a guy offer to buy my car from me today for well over what I paid for it. I know I have something special, but what exactly is so special about it?
Only about 11,000 svts were made so its definetly a rare limited production vehicle. Besides the extra 30 hp from the standard duratec, the svt is a good handling sedan, great looking, and can still haul friends around. Although, the contours/mystiques dont hold their value worth crap but sometimes i guess enthusiasts are willing to pay more. Btw, welcome to CEG and have fun with your car!
