I read that Cosworth actually was involved at some level on the FSVT head..it is different than regular zetec (has bigger valves for starters). Can't recall details however. Given zetec's limitations, this is not bad work that SVT did. Would have been better if they had the 2.3L to work with but it was not ready yet for Focus application.

I just do not think SVT was expecting the turbo Neon. FSVT was planning on matching 180 HP Sentra, 160 HP Si, MP3 turbo with 170 HP and with the zetec tweaked to 170 HP.. it would be competative power wise and let its handling do the talking. Turbo just blew everybody away, now all are scrambling. It is a step down from CSVT power wise (looks wise too) but was priced less so I can't falt them here.
