For those of you who have done the wire mesh grill mod, where did you buy the chrome wire mesh and how much did you need? Also, how did you get the grill and chrome oval off - does it just pull off or does it need to be unscrewed? Thanks.

You can get the wire mesh from several sources...Home Depot, Ebay, even fellow CEGers.
The back of the chrome ring has little extensions which portrude thru the backing piece and are melted, to form one unit. You have to get thru/remove the melted part, while retaining those little extensions or post, cause after you are done you'll need to run screws through the bottom piece into those little posts to hold it all together. At least that's how I did mine. Its easy...take your time.
Some people have removed the plastic "mesh" underneath their new wire mesh, while others have not.

Yup, thats the how-to i used. i went to home depot and got some gutter guard, comes in like 5 sheets that are 6"x3' or something like that. only cost like 6-7 bucks( Click here ). AND they fit the hole in the front bumper perfectly(w/ some snipping of course).im gonna re-do both mine cause the [censored] gets dull looking. so im gona use the leftover sheets i got and cover them in clear coat to keep the nice shine....

I noticed you live in MA.
Elky is from MA and he sells mesh. He has installed his mesh on quite a few 'tours in the New England area.
send him a pm or pop into the NE forums and give him a shout.

It's not hard. I just popped the ring from the housing with a screwdiver. If you don't want to keep the stock grille behind though, you have to be kinda creative in mounting back onto the car. Anyhow, any CEG'er is smart enought to figure something out. It is definetly worth the trouble though, it looks dope.
