Qbert, why didn't you post a link to that part number?
Whats the story here, is the gear available or not?
I spent half an hour at ford looking up part #'s on their computer and you couldn't buy the gear separately.
I even called Webasto who makes the motor unit and they said that gear is not available by itself, you have to purchase the whole unit.

I am about to buy a whole new sunroof motor assembly, but is there some kind of spray or coating I can buy to use on the plastic gear to strengthen it and protect it from heat and wear so this doesn't happen again??? I know somebody out there has found a solution to this problem, so please help us all out.
