Hey, mine stopped working the other day and i just took the whole assembly apart and rebolted it back on. It amazingly worked! It saved me a trip to the ford dealership so its worth a try. I think the motor fused up because it was really hot to the touch when I tried it. But be carefull not to disengage it totally from the roof. Just take all the screws out, jiggle it and put the screws back in. It worked for me and it may work for you.
