The house that a coworker lives in caught fire last fall (he's in the basement apartment) in the middle of the night. The sirens of the firetrucks woke me up, I wondered what dummy was causing trouble in the middle of the night.. One of the girls upstairs had a space heater too close to her curtains. He said he was out in the street cursing up a storm at the stupid girl, as he watched smoke pour out of the top floor. Luckily there wasn't much damage outside of the room where the fire was. Some smoke damage up there and water damage on the 1st floor and basement.

Cousin's boyfriend was at work not too far from the house. One of his coworkers came in and said "Dude, I think your house is on fire, you should go over there!" I don't think he got there as the place was burning, but the firefighters were still there.

My Uncle is talking about doing some small changes to the layout of the house. Changing the stairs so they come straight down instead of the small curve you can see in one of the pictures. Making the bathroom bigger, etc. Guess now is as good a time as any...
