My experience with Detroit was bad too. I came up for the auto show. The streets are f'n pathetic and overall the whole town just seemed quite dirty; I guess I'm just not used to super industrial towns ...

lol what were you guys expecting, a tropical paradise with exotic cars and streets lined with satin and silk? Detroit is the murder and car theft capital of the United States and we're fully aware of the issues our city has. Many area's of detroit are much worse than downtown and are very similiar to the 4th or 5th dimension of hell.

But I will say that you're barking up the wrong tree if you expect anyone from this area to sympathize with your sh*t talking and I think you'll find most people born and raised here are very proud and don't take too kindly to out-of-staters coming around talking smack about where we live. There's a lot more to Detroit and the entire area in general than what you're giving credit for.

Ohio on the other hand is a great state. I drive through there often and visit Hudson, Cleveland, Cincinatti, Toledo and Cedar Point at least once a year. The I-80 is a very clean and pleasant highway to drive on especially with those awesome rest stops featuring Sbarros, Max & Ermas and all that good stuff. Those state troopers on the other hand

yea highway 80 in northern ohio is pretty nice. I will even admit though the majority of ohio SUCKS. I grew up in New Jersey, lived there for 12 years. Oh yea, you wanna talk about some rough area's. but I know detroit takes the cake in lots of categories. I thought DC was the murder capitol though?
